Made by Refugees

Clothing has always been a form of expression — but who gets to be the author? “Made by Refugees” reframes that question by centering the hands, the stories, and the skill behind Epimonia’s 2021 sustainable collection, bringing it to one of fashion’s most visible stages: New York Fashion Week.

The work spans creative and art direction for a fashion film — a format chosen deliberately for its ability to carry mood, identity, and meaning beyond what a lookbook ever could. Each frame was constructed to hold the tension between beauty and urgency, between garment and the person who made it.

The result is a collection that doesn’t just look sustainable — it feels authored. A visual identity built to remind audiences that behind every piece of clothing is a maker, and behind every maker is a story worth telling.
